Portmarnock Links Golf Course is located on the shoreline of a picturesque peninsula and was the first course that globally renowned International Management Group (IMG) manufactured in Ireland and opened for play in 1995.
Bernhard Langer, alongside IMG, designed the Portmarnock links, which was fitting because Bernhard is a three-time winner of the Irish Open at the nearby Portmarnock Golf Club and The Royal Dublin Golf Club. This beautiful golf course was designed to be a challenge for all golfers, and since opening has hosted the ladies Irish open twice.
The golf club have recently invested in extensive upgrades of the course, such as new machinery, a development of a short game area, riveting of traditional links pot bunkers, grass pathways and improvements that increase the use of the sand dunes and natural terrain.
Portmarnock Links features an onsite historic hotel, located on the Velvet Strand to the North of Dublin, which offers mesmerising views of the coastline and the golf course.
