Mount Juliet Golf Course
Mount Juliet Golf Club is a magnificent parkland golf course and often ranked the best parkland golf course in Ireland and considered amongst the best parkland experiences in the world. Designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, the golf course is one of the most enjoyable golf experiences in Ireland. Set within 180 acres of Irish countryside, only 20 minutes from Kilkenny, the setting could not be better.
Measuring out at 7200 yards and in typical Nicklaus design, 5 lakes come into play on 6 holes along with over 80 strategically placed bunkers….so long as you keep it out the water and the sand around Mount Juliet then you will have a favourable scorecard. There are some unusual features too including a walled green that is protected by a bunker – some real stand-out holes too that all add to the nature of the golf course.
The club has hosted some pretty big names over the years including the World Golf Championships in 2002 and 2004 along with playing host to the 2021 version of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open featuring some of the games biggest names.
Tiger Woods is a fan of Mount Juliet having won here in 2002.
