Canyamel Golf
Canyamel Golf is one of the most beautiful golf courses in all of Spain, the fast, true, and undulating greens combined with stunning sea views situated in the heart of a Nature Reserve, you will find peace and tranquillity throughout all 18 holes. The design of the course is nearly untouched since the opening day in 1988, but even today with its solid structure and great routing you will keep getting excited each time you tee it up at Canyamel.
One of the best golf courses on the island of Majorca, Canyamel is a testing par 73 layout created by architect José Gancedo in 1988 embedded into a giant bird and turtle sanctuary. It is an easy walk for golfers, but golf carts are sometimes preferred, with the occasional walk from green to the next tee. Golfers are treated to playing golf shots past a rustic stone house in the middle of the 9th fairway, which is a feature of the course you don’t want in your playing line, and another 300-year-old house on Hole 12. You will enjoy stunning seaviews at times, overlooking Cala Ratjada and on Hole 5 the island of Menorca.
Canyamel Golf is very natural and stunning on the eye, with the quality of its greens renowned around the island, this is one of the golf course’s main attributes and are notoriously fast and undulating, with fairways that are perfectly maintained in always in top condition.
When you play at Canyamel it is very likely that you will cross paths with live turtles, rabbits, rare birds and other animals.
