Known as the Balcony of Mallorca, the Castillo Hotel Son Vida enjoys a commanding view over the golf course, out to sea and with the city of Palma in view too. A luxurious golf resort with 3 championship golf courses onsite called Son Vida, Son Quint and Son Muntaner, the Castillo Son Vida is a truly luxurious golfers retreat.

With 164 rooms and suites, we highly recommend one of their front facing rooms with views out to sea and overlooking the Son Vida golf course that meanders its way around the hotel.

Onsite there is an excellent spa which opened in 2018 along with great restaurant and bar options to choose from too. Our favourite is Es Vi which has a real bodega feel about it. The breakfast room at Es Castell is very special with floor to ceiling windows meaning you can enjoy the magnificent views whilst enjoying your breakfast.

The Castillo Hotel Son Vida is one of our favourite European golf resorts, you can combine the very best in luxury accommodation and golf along with being close enough to the city of Palma which is well worth a visit.

Arabella Golf Course Descriptions

Situated close to Majorca’s capital Palma, Arabella Golf consists of three courses, Son Vida, Son Muntaner and Son Quint.

Son Vida is the oldest course on the island, originally opened in 1964. Despite undergoing a complete renovation in 2001, the course hasn’t lost any of its original character. It is famed for its wide fairways and breathtaking views across the bay of Palma. At only 6100 yards, Son Vida Golf Course is short by modern standards. It is renowned for its long sweeping doglegs and the dramatic par 5, 18th, which includes a second shot over water.

Son Muntaner was added to Arabella Golf in the summer of 2000 and is a tougher and longer challenge than its sister. Tight fairways and large greens are a trademark of the course, as are the many water features that await errant approach shots.
