Buenavista Golf Course
This 18-hole golf course designed by the great Seve Ballesteros is located atop the cliffs and close to the Teno Country Park. Presenting some incredible Atlantic Ocean views from the northern coastline of Tenerife, mouth-watering, it is arguably the most spectacular and scenic golf course on the island with its stunning setting.
Water comes into play on a number of holes, especially the 15th and 17th, which require a shot over the edge of a cliff face. Despite its location, Buenavista Golf is fast becoming a favourite among visiting golfers and with a number of tee positions caters for players of all abilities.
Opened in 2003, this varied and interesting layout takes in the stunning coastline of Isla Baja and is arguably one of the most spectacular courses on the island. Laid out in Seve’s favoured 6, 6, 6 arrangement or par 3s, 4s, and 5s and measuring in at 6,582 yards, it offers up fantastic variation and numerous twists and turns throughout your round.
Buenavista is a golf course designed to be enjoyed, with its wide and friendly fairways to be found from the tee and receptive greens. Several of the greens hug the coastline to provide stunning views out across the Atlantic, making for some dramatic approach play. Being right on the coast, sometimes the added matter of blustery wind conditions needs to be contended with, this is the golf courses biggest defence. Though remember that you will benefit greatly when playing with the wind at your back!
