Amarilla Golf

Opened in 1989, the Donald Steel designed Amarilla Golf Course is located on the South of Tenerife and runs along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.

The front 9 is built along the cliff faces bordering the ocean and offers spectacular views. The par 3, 5th hole, requires a shot over the water to a well guarded green. A former host club of the Tenerife Open, Amarilla Golf Course is a challenge for low handicappers from the back tees, but the choice of teeing positions makes it an enjoyable experience for players of all abilities.

Golf Las Americas

Situated between the resorts of Los Christianos and Playa de Las Americas, the John Jacobs designed Las Americas Golf Course is set in the fantastic location of a natural amphitheatre, offering superb views of the surrounding scenery. 

Being fairly flat, the golf course is an enjoyable walk at just over 6000 metres, making it a favourite for players of any ability. Numerous water hazards that include lakes and waterfalls are a feature of the Las Americas Golf.

Golf Costa Adeje

The interesting layout follows the natural contours of the land with generous fairways and large greens. Hazards include gorges and water features. Opened in 1998, Costa Adeje has hosted PGA Events and with plenty of signature holes it offers a different challenge for players of all levels.

Those opting for the lunch and green fee special at Costa Adeje can enjoy their meal from 12:00-17:00 

Costa Adeje Golf Club is located just North of the resort of Playa de las Americas. The golf course offers beautiful views of the ocean and the neighbouring island of La Gomera, and has hosted Men’s and Ladies’ European Tour Events.

Golf del Sur

*** Golf del Sur will be closed from 1st June to 30th September 2027 ***

Since opening in 1987, Golf del Sur has hosted many PGA European Tour Events on the men’s and ladies’ circuits. The 18 hole complex is set amongst ravines, approximately twenty minutes from the main resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos.

Generous fairways are flanked by ochre-coloured rock with native cacti and shrubbery. Each loop of 9 holes presents a different challenge. The Golf del Sur Course has established itself as one of the most popular golf courses in Tenerife.

Abama Golf

Abama Golf Course was created by Dave Thomas, designer of Ryder Cup and European Tour venues, and is widely regarded as one of his greatest achievements in his 50 years of experience with professional courses.

The golf course is playale for all handicaps, offering large greens, wide tee areas and stunning views.

Golf Kings booked our holiday very efficiently. We returned to Penina Hotel and golf course for a 10 day golfing holiday with friends at the beginning of January for at least the previous 15 years. Because we are regular customers the hotel kindly give us a free upgrade to a front facing room. This makes all the difference in the winter as they are brighter and warmer . Sun is on the balcony for the after golf relaxation. Good points:- front facing room , comfortable and spotlessly clean, capsule coffee maker, complementary water. Staff were all friendly providing excellent service. Breakfasts were exceptional .we had beautiful fresh fruit , bread ,cereal , Nespresso coffee. The variety of continental and cooked dishes was delightful. At that time of year it is ideal to be able to walk directly from the hotel to a challenging golf course. BAD POINTS :- I fear for the future of one of our favourite hotels and golf resorts. It is obviously struggling financially. The furnishings in especially in the lounge areas required major upgrades. There were holes in some of the upholstery and the springs had gone in several chairs. The choice and quality of lunches was not the same standard as breakfast They were disappointing. Signage on the golf course was shabby. The paths were in poor condition. The greens were good but the fairways poor. The whole place had a tired shabby air. We like the traditional ambience but upgrading and some modernisation is required.
