Gramacho Golf Course
The Gramacho Golf Course near Carvoeiro in the Algarve was originally a nine hole course which has been extended and cleverly redesigned to become a fully fledged interesting 18 hole course. A formidable challenge by its designer! The course covers undulating terrain with olive, almond and carob trees scattered as planted years before by the local farmers. The Gramacho Course is designed for the player to be technically accurate and to know which club to choose before hitting the ball.
Having hosted the Portuguese Ladies Open on a number of occasions Pestana Gramacho is recognized as a championship course enjoyable and playable even by those with a higher handicap.
Clubhouse
- The Gramacho Clubhouse, located in the heart of the resort, offers a full complement of services such as:
- Club and buggy rental.
- Changing facilities.
- Restaurant and Bar, which boasts the most spectacular view on the misty blue backdrop of the Monchique Mountains, as well as views to the fairway overlooking the 18th hole.
- Full reception facilities
- Putting green.
- Buggy Bar.
- The Pro Shop with well known international golf brands.
- The golf reception is open every day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m in the winter, and to 9 p.m. in the summer.
The opening hours of the clubhouse Restaurant and Bar are every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. for breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner. Service includes traditional Portuguese and International cuisine, vegetarian, diabetic meals and even early suppers for children (on request). The clubhouse restaurant also offers the possibility of catering up to 200 guests for special events (meetings, banquets, weddings etc).
