Costa Teguise Golf Course
Lanzarote Golf Courses
Designed by John Harris in 1978, Golf Costa Teguise is played at the bottom of an old volcano, among lava, palm trees and native cacti. This testing 18-hole golf course requires accuracy off the tee, with testing dog legs offering the option to cut off the corner to gain yardage on your approach. Many of the holes on the golf course have wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean, leaving you with incredible memories to take home from your round.
Costa Teguise Golf Course offers a classic layout set against Lanzarote’s striking volcanic backdrop. Known for gently undulating terrain and strategically placed bunkers, making it enjoyable for golfers of all abilities while still providing a fair challenge.
The front nine eases you into the round, with friendly landing areas and subtle elevation changes, where accuracy is rewarded on approach shots to well-guarded greens. The back nine introduces more character, with tighter driving lines and increased exposure to the island’s coastal winds, adding an extra element of difficulty and shot making.
Among the standout holes, the par three 7th is a real highlight, demanding a precise tee shot over a valley to a well-protected green. The par five 10th offers a great risk-and-reward opportunity, tempting longer hitters to go for the green in two, while trouble lurks for the overly ambitious. The finishing stretch provides a strong test, ensuring a memorable close to a round on one of Lanzarote’s most established courses.
