It is a golf course you can confidently stand on most tee’s with a driver and send the ball on its way without too much fear of losing it. Steady players off the tee are rewarded with great opportunities to score however, be ready to play into smaller greens than you would expect by modern standards. Iron accuracy will allow you the chance to pick up those coveted birdie putts.

The setting itself is magnificent, only 5 minutes outside of the charming village of Comporta, the landscape and terrain is amazing and this is true golf country. Immaculate fairways and true rolling greens await you at Torre…all of the ingredients are here to score well and really enjoy your round.

You can see Sergio’s influences, particularly on the par-5 9th hole, which will have you playing from an elevated tee with the choice of flying over or going around the pine tree in the middle of the fairway as a subtle nod to Sergio’s love of Valderrama and his golfing idol, Seve. 

The practice facilities at Torre are second to none. A large driving range alongside multiple short game zones, all spread out which makes it great for teaching groups. If minded, you could spend plenty of time here working on aspects of your game before taking on the course itself.

Facilities at the golf course are a work in progress. There is a small coffee truck offering hot and cold drinks alongside a mini pro-shop with merchandise and water refilling station. Do not play Torre expecting full clubhouse facilities as yet. But do enjoy the course for what it already is, a fantastic design and simply must play during your trip to this special golfing region of Portugal.
