Which resort is best to stay at for a golf holiday in Lisbon?
Lisbon has a resort for everybody. The most popular resort is Cascais which is a wonderful seaside town with a great selection of restaurants, bars and cafés to choose from. Cascais is also very close to a selection of championship golf courses, including Oitavos Dunes, Quinta da Marinha and Penha Longa!
Costa Caparica is also a great place to stay in the south of the city and offers incredible value for money. Penha Longa Golf Resort is a great choice for golfing couples. A Ritz-Carlton managed property, the resort has 27 holes onsite, a great spa, plentiful restaurants and bars alongside a fully integrated leisure resort with outdoor swimming pools and excellent rooms.
Kimpton Quinta da Marinha is another resort that suits couples perfectly. Only a 5-10 minute taxi takes you into central Cascais and onsite you have an abundance of facilities including spa and 18-hole championship course.

There are many great options in Lisbon for golf groups. From the buzzing seaside resort of Cascais, we recommend the Vila Gale Cascais and then you have the surrounding golf courses within 20 minutes.
Praia del Rey is arguably the best golf resort for groups due to its beachfront location and plenty of restaurants and golf options. Onsite you have the Praia Del Rey course and West Cliffs and then within 10 minutes you have Royal Obidos. Combined, it makes for a great group golf holiday experience.
When is the best time to play golf in Lisbon?
Lisbon offers the best golfing weather in May-June and September-October. It can be hot during the main summer months but playable. The shoulder season months of March and April offer a cooler climate and still very popular for golf trips in this part of the world.
