Sitting tactically on the left-hand side of the Guadiana River, the Isla Canela Links course creates a challenging yet very enjoyable golf experience for all. Being within the nature reserve creates its own natural challenges from a layout perspective and what this means is that no hole is like the last!
The toughest holes in our view are located on the back nine which are a bit closer to the river and this, of course brings the wind into play because the Guadiana River empties into the Atlantic Ocean close to the golf course. This is where the course earns its “Links” name in our view. The front nine is a more parkland experience.
Together with its sister course, Isla Canela Old, it is a very good 36-hole combination!
