South Carolina Self Drive Golf Tour

As far as golfing destinations go, few offer more than South Carolina. It’s easily accessible from the UK and once there, you have a magnificent choice of places to stay and play. If you are looking for on-site golf, where is better than the world-famous Kiawah Island Resort? If that’s a little quiet then perhaps staying in Hilton Head would suit. There you can get to a number of great golf courses within 30 minutes and have all the bars, restaurants and shops you could wish for. If it’s more of a ‘holiday with golf’ as opposed to a ‘golfing holiday’ you are looking for, Charleston would be the perfect base. Take your time and wander around the historic old town and see what all the fuss is about for yourself.

It’s also a fantastic destination due to its location. We could all quite happily spend a week there but it also makes the perfect twin-centre stop with the likes of a Masters trip or visit to Pinehurst in North Carolina. Imagine, 4 nights at Hilton Head followed by a few nights in Pinehurst or Columbia with a day at Augusta to see the Masters! Does it get any better than that? If it does, it must be pretty good!
