Located just 20 miles along the coast from Edinburgh City, Gullane Golf Club has golf all year round no matter the weather. Based right in the heart of Gullane, it is a short walk to some local bars and restaurants.

GULLANE GOLF CLUB COURSE INFORMATION

Gullane No. 1

One of the best golf courses that Scotland has to offer. Carving its way over and through the East Lothian dunes, it presents a stern test even on the calmest of days. Gullane No. 1 is the championship course of the three Gullane Golf Club has across its stunning landscape.

Gullane No. 1 is a previous Scottish Open venue in 2015 and 2018, with Rickie Fowler and Brandon Stone triumphant (respectively). A formidable test of links golf and any score bettering a handicap should consider it a good days work, avoiding the pot bunkers is key to this. With some drastic elevation changes, it will test every shot in your golfing arsenal.

Gullane No. 2

Gullane No. 2 only plays second fiddle to the Championship course in name, it is just as highly regarded by visitors. Being shorter and slightly friendlier in layout, Gullane No.2 will reward good shots, but is no pushover.

A small selection of holes from the No. 2 course have been used as part of the Scottish Open set up, highlighting how well the course accents the championship No. 1 course. Many of the opening holes run alongside the No. 1 course, before playing out towards the Aberlady Bay.

Some of the best views of the coastline can be found whilst playing Gullane No.2. With some tees and greens perched at the highest points of the dunes.

Gullane No. 3

Gullane No. 3 is the newest of the Gullane Golf Club’s offerings, though is still over 100 years old. It is the shortest course out of the three, playing just over 5,100 yards from the back tees, it is the perfect introduction to golf at Gullane.

Course management is the order of the day, when playing Gullane No. 3, with smaller greens and tight fairways. Sharing the same firm links turf as it’s neighbouring big brothers, finding the fairways and greens is only for the straightest and most controlled golf shots.

Gullane Golf Club’s best views can be found whilst playing No. 3. The backdrop of No.2 and No.1 are ever present and a treat for the eyes.
