Golfing in Lisbon - Head South!

Comporta is going to become one of Portugal if not Europe’s sought after golf holiday destinations.

Now onto the main event, Comporta Dunas. This golfing masterpiece is highly regarded as one of the best in Europe already since its 2023 opening. This reputation is going to skyrocket as the course matures and the infrastructure is completed. Designed by David McLay Kidd , the world renowned golf architect of big names including Bandon Dunes, Fancourt Montagu and Machrihanish Dunes amongst many others. He has done a supreme job with Comporta Dunas. Each hole has the wow factor and magnificently framed. The course is perfect for golfers of all abilities with a tee to suit everyone. Playing off the backs really shows its teeth, particularly on the par 3 third hole. The design is sympathetic to all golfers meaning an unforgettable golf experience is almost guaranteed to all who play it.  Even the practice areas leave you mouthing “WOW” with a spectacular driving range and huge practice putting green just by the first tee to allow you to adjust your game for the large sloping greens to follow!

Our advice? Play it NOW before everyone else does….and before the pricing reflects the demand and quality of this amazing golf environment.

•    Fly into Lisbon airport
•    Take a transfer or drive to the Troia peninsula. Here you have a couple of options. Either drive to Setubal and take the scenic roll-on-roll-off ferry to Troia and make your way from here….or drive direct. The ferry is a great way to get your bearings and understand the landscape. Our advice would be to take the ferry at least one way. 
•    Transfer time is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes between Lisbon airport and Comporta village.
•    Comporta Village to Comporta Dunas Golf is only 15 minutes transfer
•    Comporta Village to Comporta Torre is only 5 minutes away 
•    Troia Golf Club is 15 minutes from Comporta Village
•    Pinheirinho is 20 minutes from Comporta Village
•    The beach clubs at Comporta are 15 minutes from Comporta Village
