Da Nang is Vietnam’s golfing hub and the natural base for most trips, a city and a gateway that rewards you with beaches, scenery and the best of the country’s golf, most of it within easy reach. Our preference is to stay just outside the city: either close to the historic UNESCO town of Hoi An, or a little further north at Lang Co, around 90 minutes away, where luxury hotels, a private beach and championship golf sit alongside easy access to the historic city of Hue and the national parks. Either way, world-class courses, miles of beach and Da Nang’s restaurants and bars are all close at hand.

A great deal, and it is a big part of what makes Vietnam special. Central Vietnam centres on Hoi An, a beautifully preserved UNESCO town known for its waterways and textiles, with the Marble Mountains and long stretches of beach close by. In the south, Ho Chi Minh City offers a powerful insight into the country's wartime history through its museums, and the waterways of the Mekong Delta.
