Whistling Straits

Arguably the greatest championship course in the United States, The Straits at Whistling Straits® has hosted the 2004, 2010 and 2015 PGA Championships and the 2007 U.S. Senior Open, and it is the site of the 2020 Ryder Cup.

Whistling Straits offers two courses of dynamic contrast and world-class prestige. Open, rugged and windswept terrain defines The Straits®, sculpted along two miles of Lake Michigan shoreline. Borrowing influences from Irish links courses, The Straits has fescue fairways and massive sand dune bunkers. Just inland, interspersed by four meandering streams, the grassland and dunes aspect of The Irish is a deceiving tranquil landscape.

Blackwolf Run Golf Course - The River

Pete Dye designed one of the best golf courses in America on rich land once known by the Winnebagos and Algonquins for exceptional fishing and hunting. Intimidating to the professional, fair and dramatic for the amateur, this “beauty of the beast” measures 7,404 from the back tees with a slope of 151. Target landing areas, strategic bunkering, large undulating greens, and water or gorges on 14 of the 18 holes characterize the challenge of this championship course. The playing values of the River course are a match for its natural beauty.

Blackwolf Run Golf Course - The Meadow Valleys

Professionals and amateurs of all skill levels can experience a day of golf like no other on the Meadow Valleys course. Described as both subtle and devilish, it winds through meadows and charges across ravines, reflecting the natural features of the Wisconsin terrain. This championship course challenges even the experts to weigh the relative advantages of distance and accuracy, though staggered tees put much of the danger out of harm’s way for the average golfer.
