Capdepera Golf

A Dan Maples designed course, Capdepera, also known as Roca Viva, opened in 1991.
It is set in beautiful countryside and whilst it is surrounded by mountains it also offers some spectacular views of the Mediterranean.
The view as you stand on the 15th tee ( consistently voted the most beautiful hole in Mallorca by Mallorca Magazine) and look out over the valley to the Med is something special and typifies the attraction of Mallorcan golf courses.
The golf course is divided into two halves: The first nine holes are flat with long fairways, while the second nine holes start off with three flat holes before rising into the Artá mountains.
There are six artificial lakes and three of these make their presence felt on the 5th, 11th and 18th holes.
But it is a course which many regard as the finest and fairest in Mallorca and is a true test for high and low handicap players.

Pula Golf

The Pula golf course is located in the north-east of the island, near Son Servera and the bay of Cala Millor. It was originally constructed in 1995 but has has since been redesigned with the help of Olazabal, who changed 12 holes during 2004 and 2005.

The Pula offers a two-tier driving range, short game area and a delightful clubhouse-cum-hotel renovated from an ancient farmhouse, dating back to 1581.
The course is tough and demanding, but fun for players of all abilities. The range of teeing areas offers a choice as to how hard you wish the course to play.
The 172-yard par-3 2nd is an early treat. It is played over a canyon to green which the Americans would say has an "elephant burial ground" - it is raised and humped in the middle. It`s tough to two-putt, but fun to try.
If you can fade the ball you`ll do well at Pula. Holes 3, 6 and 7 all dogleg left to right quite sharply and if you`re safe from the tee, all offer the chance for birdies.
The redesigned 17th was the centrepiece of the 2005 Mallorca Classic. It`s a long par-4 played downhill, with a vast lake to the left and a well-bunkered green.

Son Servera

Son Servera is, for the greatest part, a gently undulating parkland course with generous fairways and rough kept to a length where finding the off line shot does not cause too many difficulties.

The errant shot is much more likely to be punished by the intervention of one of the many evergreen oak, pine, olive, carob and palm trees that dot the course blocking the way to the pin.
Holes 3 to 7 are undoubtedly different as narrow tree lined fairways venture into the hills and twist between the lakes and pines making this stretch the toughest test on the course.
The greens are subtly undulating and water is an enhancing feature on 6 holes. There is, however, always a range of shots on offer providing realistic options for both accomplished and more modest players.
All parts of the course give fine views of the pine clad mountains which protect the course from the worst of any winter storms and from many holes there are splendid views over the Bay of Cala Millor.
At various times of the year, flowering oleanders and bougainvillea add to the colours and the numerous hares, ducks and other birdlife that abound add to the feeling that the course really iss a special place.
9The course has a par of 72 and off back tees measures 5.844 metres for men (slope 140) and 4.937 metres for ladies (slope 133). On non tournament days tees are moved forward providing visitors and guests with an enjoyable and fair challenge.
Beautiful, challenging, fair and fun, the course at Son Servera offers something to everyone.
