Why choose Dublin & the East of Ireland for a golf holiday?
There are not many places in the world with so many world class golf courses and golf resorts within a short distance of each other, when you see the list it’s hard to believe. Add to that the city of Dublin it makes for an excellent destination for a golf holiday or a city break with some golf. You could quite easily spend a week here, 3 nights living it up in Dublin followed by 4 nights relaxing and golfing, we can organise both elements for you as well as the flights or ferry crossing. It’s not all about the Guinness in Dublin, the city is also well known around the world for it’s gourmet cuisine and of course the live music. A visit to the Temple Bar area of Dublin is a must for any golf group.
How long are flights from UK?
Flights to Dublin with Ryanair and Aer Lingus from most UK airports, usually very reasonably priced. The Dublin area is also only 1 hour 50 minutes from Belfast harbour which is a great option if you want to take the car, maybe squeeze in a game of golf on the way down and way back to split the journey.

April is a great month to visit Ireland, shoulder season for the majority of golf courses and hotels and has been the driest month for the last couple of years.
No visit to Dublin is complete without a trip to the Guinness brewery, not far from Dublin City centre, an excellent experience rounded off by a pint of the black stuff.
Only a 45-minute drive from Dublin and not a hidden gem as such as it did host the 2011 Solheim cup but we recommend Killeen Castle golf course as a nice day trip. An excellent course and often forgotten about.
View Killeen CastleThe best way to see Dublin and the East is self-drive so why not bring your own car on Stena Line, Holyhead to Dublin is just over 3 hours or Belfast Harbour is only a 1 hour 45 minute drive to the Dublin area. It’s a very relaxing journey compared to flying.
