Before You Travel - Your Questions Answered

Pre-Travel Queries

Questions about my golf holiday before I travel

Handicap Certificate

Do I need to take a handicap certificate on a golf holiday?

Golfers may be asked to provide proof of their handicap; therefore, we would recommend a handicap certificate to be taken by all golfers.

Golf Buggies

Are golf buggies included or booked for me when I book my golf break?

Golf buggies are not included in your golf holiday unless stated on your booking confirmation alongside your tee times.

Should you wish to add buggies to your booking please contact us and where possible we can reserve them on your behalf. Full payment of buggies will be required at time of adding them to your booking.

Pre-booked Seats

Are pre-booked seats included?

Have you opted for pre-booked seats on your flight? Yes? Then you’re good to go!

If not, please be aware many airlines do not guarantee that you will be seated together. Should you wish to pay to secure seats together, we can book these on your behalf, please contact us and we can arrange this for you.

Seat numbers cannot be changed once check-in has been completed.

Advanced Passenger Information (API)

Passport Details – Why do we need your passport details before you travel?

To allow us to complete online check in with certain airlines we require each passenger’s valid passport information.

Due to GDPR we are unable to use passport details that you may have given us previously for a trip.

Insurance

Travel Insurance – do I need travel insurance for a golf holiday?

From the time of booking, we strongly advise taking out a travel insurance policy that gives golf and Covid cover.

We have partnered with Covered2go, a trading name of Rush Insurance who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

They offer a wide range of travel insurance policies at competitive prices so that you can have peace of mind whilst you are away. There is a choice of policies from single trips to annual multi trip policies, both available with the all-important Golf add on. With different levels of cover, Silver, Platinum, or Gold – you can choose the level of cover that best suits both your needs and your budget.

Tickets

When will I receive my golf holiday tickets?

Your travel documents will be emailed to the lead passenger on the booking approximately 2 weeks prior to departure. Should you wish a paper copy also, please contact us to arrange <contact us form link>

Do I still need to check in for my flight?

Each airline has different check-in timeframes therefore in some instances we will be unable to check you in for your flights.

Please refer to your itinerary which will be in your travel documents where it will detail if you need to check in with your airline yourself.

If we can check you in, your boarding passes will also be found within your travel documents.

What is my luggage allowance?

Your luggage allowance will be stated on your paperwork under Flight Information. Luggage allowances vary from airline to airline so please check your paperwork carefully to ensure you are within the limits.

Passport Requirements

What are the passport/entry requirements for the destination I am travelling to?

Please ensure that you have checked the rules of passport validity for the country you are travelling to as since Brexit, the rules have changed. Should you be in doubt, we are happy to check your passport details for you.

Please also check the entry requirements of the destination you will be visiting as there may have been some changes to the arrivals and departures procedures since the coronavirus pandemic.

We recommend looking at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s travel advice before you travel. This information is subject to change, so please check this page regularly before you fly.

Contact details in resort

Who do I contact if there is an issue in resort during my golf holiday?

Within your travel documents, depending on whether we have representation through a ground handler in the resort you are travelling to, there will be the relevant contact numbers for them.

Should you have an emergency whilst in resort and require support please call 0141 762 5570.

How do I cancel my golf holiday booking?

In the unfortunate event you are unable to travel and need to cancel your booking, the lead person is required to advise us of the cancellation. Go to our Contact Us page for more information.
