Vilamoura Laguna will re-open for play on the 16th September 2009 after a 6 month closure. The completes phase one of a 3 year development plan for this popular Algarve Golf Course.
Since the work on Laguna was completed over the spring and summer the course had optimum conditions in which to recover from the changes taking place.
Over the next 3 years the plans include replacement of all bunker sand, aeration of compacted soils, sand and top dressing to improve surface smoothness and consistency, removal of alien grasses from the rough, localized drainage and landscaping of the surrounding areas.
Opened for play in the summer of 2006, Silves Golf Course is a parkland golf course built in a serene location in the Western Algarve.
