With the Algarve being so popular and close, it is perhaps understandable that Lisbon is sometimes overlooked as a top quality golfing destination, this is exactly why we actively promote Lisbon golf holidays.
The Lisbon area can really be divided into two main areas, North and South. To the North you have the city of Lisbon itself as well as the lively town of Cascais. Both provide an excellent base for getting to some of the fantastic golf courses Lisbon has to offer.
If you stay in Lisbon or Cascais you will be able to reach Oitavos, Penha Longa and Quinta Da Marinha golf courses in no longer than 25 minutes. A bit further afield, at 50 minutes drive, is the wonderful Praia del Rey. Add all this to the vibrant nightlife and white sandy beaches and you really do have little excuse not to take advantage of a Lisbon golf holiday.
Towards the South of the city is perhaps better suited to couples and smaller groups looking to golf. Resorts like Sesimbra and Aroeira provide a perfectly peaceful and relaxing setting. Again, there are plenty of great golf courses to choose from - Quinta Do Peru, Aroeira 1 and 2, and Troia.
Lisbon really is a stunning destination in which to golf and with direct flights from Edinburgh, Liverpool, Bristol and London to name a few, it might very well be the perfect golfing holiday for you!
