Originally designed by Hugh Baiocchi, the Legend Belle Mare Plage Course opened in 1994 and is located on one of the finest beaches of Mauritius. The course has recently undergone a complete green reconstruction programme, bringing it up to Championship standard.
Legend Belle Mare Plage Golf Course Description
The course is built on bush covered volcanic rock and low lying flood plains, with fairways running through the heart of indigenous forest. Accuracy is the key from the tee with tight tree and bush lined fairways, although most greens are large and receptive. A highlight of the Legend Belle Mare Golf Course is its signature par 3, 17th, which only measures 152 metres, but is played across a spectacular lagoon that merges with the adjoining bay. With tight fairways and large greens, coupled with some stunning views, make the course is an amazing experience for golfers of all abilities.
