Opened for play in 2007, a feature of the course is its numerous dog legs making club selection and careful placement off the tee a must.
Measuring 6500 metres in length from the back tees, a unique feature of this championship layout is the combination of holes with six par 3s, six par 4s and six par 5s.

The course is seeded entirely with Pencross grass. The front 9 is relatively flat but requires accuracy with tight tree lined fairways and well guarded greens. The back 9 is set in more hilly terrain, with all the tees being built on walls offering impressive views of the Algarve and making for an intense round of golf.
