Opened for play in 2003 with the South Course, El Rompido Golf now boasts 36 holes with the North Course opening for play in spring 2006.
El Rompido South Course Description
The South Course sprawls across a mix of parkland and marshland offering some amazing views of the surrounding countryside. The front 9 requires accuracy from the tee to avoid the neighbouring marshes and careful club selection on the approach shots to avoid the numerous bunkers which guard the greens. The back 9 is more open with generous fairways and large greens. Careful club selection is still required on approach shots to avoid leaving a long birdie putt.
El Rompido North Course Description
Opened for play in the spring of 2006, the North Course is built adjacent to the South Course and offers a slightly tougher test. Accuracy is a must to avoid the bordering marshland and a number of water hazards lie in wait for any stray approach shots. The greens are large and are guarded by strategically placed bunkers and water hazards.
Both El Rompido Golf Courses are completely flat and offer an enjoyable test of golf for players of all abilities and are fast becoming more and more popular with visitors to the Costa de la Luz.
