Despite only opening in 1992, Islantilla Golf is aready one of the best known courses in the south of Spain and was voted among the top 100 courses in Europe by Golf Digest in the year 2000.  Islantilla has also played host to a number of PGA events such as the 1995 Turespana Masters as well as various Challange Tour events.

There is a total of 27 holes available spit into 3 x 9 holes courses,  each offering a different test.  The 1st nine holes require precision and accuracy both off the tee and on appoach shots  to avoid a number of hazards which line the fairways and greens.  The 2nd nine holes are more wide open and encourage the bigger hitters to open their shoulders.  Some car must be taken , however to avoid the bunkers which await any wayward approch shots. Course 3 is part of the original 18 holes (along with the 1st nine holes) and also requires careful thought and precision to avoid many pit falls which await and errant shot.

Surrounded by stunning sea views and with challanges to suit players of all abilities, Islantilla is a firm favourite among visitors to the area.
