Regularly voted as of the top 10 courses in Europe, Club de Golf Sotogrande opened for play in 1964 and was the first European course designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones.
Sotogrande Golf Course Description
Well known for being in pristine condition, the lush fairways of the Sotogrande Golf Course are lined by a number of large trees. Numerous water hazards come into play, particularly on the back 9. A lack of severe rough will appeal to the higher handicappers and also gives the bigger hitters the opportunity to open their shoulders. The large rolling greens are well protected by a number of bunkers and have the habit of ruining a potentially good score.
As one of the most famous courses in the Costa del Sol, Sotogrande offers a good test for players of all abilities and is a firm favourite amongst visitors to the area.
Only a limited number of tee-times are allocated to non-members and it is highly recommended to book the Sotogrande Golf Course as far in advance as possible.
