San Roque Golf Courses – The New Course Description
Located next to the Old Course, San Roque New Course opened for play in 2005 in order to compliment its much acclaimed big sister.
Designed by Seve Ballesteros and Perry Dye, the course incorporates the hilly terrain and offers wonderful views over the Mediterranean Sea and Guadalquiton River.
Measuring just over 7100 yards from the back tees, the San Roque New Course is equally as long as the Old Course, but it is an easier and a more forgiving test. The fairways are generously wide, but still require careful placement to ensure a clear view of the pin on approach shots. The greens are very large but protected by over one hundred bunkers, large mounds, and water hazards.
San Roque New Course was designed to challenge the lower handicapper, but a choice of five different tee positions make it an enjoyable course for the more inexperienced player.
