The oldest course on The Costa del Sol dating back to 1925, Club de Campo de Malaga - El Parador Golf is situated adjacent to Malaga Airport. Built directly by the sea, it provides a combination of both links and parkland golf.
Designed by Tom Simpson of Turnberry and Murfield fame, Parador has played host to a number of major golf tournaments over the years, most recently The Turespana Masters in 1999 which was won by local favourite Miguel Angel Jiminez.
Measuring just under 6900 yards and with constant sea breezes, can be a real challange for even the low handicapper. A very flat course, the fairways are fairly generous but are lined with mature trees so a fair degree of accuracy is required to ensure a clear view of the green on your approach shot. Parador is renowned for it's fast greens and careful placement on the approach is required to leave a straightforward birdie putt.
A fairly long course but still an enjoyable test for golfers of abilities and due to it's close proximity to Malaga Airport, is a popular choice for those clients looking to squeeze an extra round in before their flight home.
