Located just 3km from the resort of Marbella in a valley between the Mediterranean sea and the mountains, the courses main feature is the Real river which meanders through the course giving the course it’s name.
The front nine is quite tight from the tee with the fairways lined with pine and palm trees and the river coming into play on a number of holes. The back nine is slightly more wide open and it’s elevated tees offer stunning views across the surrounding countryside and out to sea. The signature hole is the par 4 11th where an accurate tee-shot is required over a ravine and the approach shot over the river which guards the front of the green.
The course is enjoyed by players of all abilities with a relatively flat layout and a variety of holes bringing every club in the bag into play.
