Opened for play in May 2006, Calanova is the latest addition to the "Mijas Golf Valley".  Located in the foothills of the Sierra de Mijas Mountains, the course offers spectacular  views on most holes.

Wide undulating fairways encourage the big hitters but a number of stratigically placed bunkers and water hazards await any errant tee-shots.  The elevated tees and a number of raised greens also make careful and precise club selection a must.

The signature hole is the par 3 6th which measures 180 yards and from the evelated teeing position is a daunting prospect.  The large green is surrounded by water short and left and a 3 here feels like a birdie!

Measuring just over 6300 yards it is not long by modern day standards but is a course which offers an enjoyable test for  golfers of all abilities.
