Located in Casares between Marbella and Sotogrande, Golf Finca el Cortesin opened for play in October 2006 and offers views over the Mediterranean and North African coastline.
Measuring nearly 7700 yards from the back tees, this Cabell Robinson designed course is fairly unique to the other courses in The Costa del Sol as there are no houses or buildings lining the fairways.
The fairways are generously wide but are lined with well placed bunkers and numerous ditches traverse the course calling for a fair degree of accuracy and thought is required off the tee. The large undulating greens are very inviting although with subtle slopes and borrows, careful placement on the approach shot is required to leave a straightforward birdie putt.
Despite being among the longest courses in Europe, Finca del Cortesin is an enjoyable course to play and has proved a popular addition to the many courses already in the area.
