Set at the foothills of La Concha Mountains South of Estepona, Atalaya Golf offers two of the most popular courses on the Costa del Sol. Atalaya Golf and Country Club is also headquarters of the PGA of Europe, which covers 29 countries and 7500 golf professionals.

Atalaya Golf – The Old Course Description

The Old Course opened in 1968 and features wide fairways and fast, elevated greens. The fairways are lined by a number of Eucalyptus, Olive, and Pine trees, which offer pleasant shade in the summer, but punish any inaccurate shots. Measuring 6760 yards in length, the elevated tees offer stunning views of the Rock of Gibraltar and North Africa, but don't get distracted as the course demands your full attention at all times!

Atalaya Golf – The New Course Description

The New Course opened for play in 1991 and is more gently sloping than its sister course.  Despite only measuring 5900 yards, a great deal of care has to be taken as a number of fairways are fairly tight and lined by large oak and pine trees. The greens are also notoriously quick and well guarded by bunkers and water hazards.

The Atalaya Golf Courses are very popular amongst visitors to the area. Its two courses offer a fair test to keep players of all standards interested. Both courses are renowned throughout the Costa del Sol for their beautifully kept fairways and greens.
