5 Kilometres from the resort of Roquetas de Mar, Playa Serena was designed by Angel Gallardo and Peter Allis and opened for play in 1979.

A relatively flat lay-out, the course is dominated by 9 large lakes, 7 of which are natural and come into play on a number of holes.  The greens vary in size and are quite undulating and require accurate approach shots to avoid the large bunkers surrounding them.  The course underwent major maintainance work in 1999 bringing it upto modern standards and now enjoys a good reputation for it's immaculate condition year round.

Playa Serena proves a very popular choice especially among British visitors and it is advisable to book your round well advance as not to be dissapointed.
