Quinta do Lago South Course is located in an exclusive golf and residential estate bordering the Ria Formosa National Park. There are currently 36 holes at Quinta do Lago and a third course O Laranjal Golf Course, a 18 hole course recently opened in 2008.
Quinta do Lago South Golf Course Description
Built on similar terrain to Quinta do Lago North, the South Course has played host to the Portuguese Open on several occasions and requires a great deal of course management and shot making to negotiate its many hidden dangers. The front 9 requires players to draw the ball from the tee, with the back favouring a slight fade. Water features also come into play on three of the holes and measuring over 7000 yards from the back tees is a course better suited to the bigger hitters. Quinta do Lago golf courses make a fantastic addition to any Algarve golf break.
