Palmares Golf Course Description
Now a stunning 27 Hole layout with three loops of 9 holes, known as Alvor, Praia, and Lagos that were officially opened by Robert Trent Jones Jr in June 2011. Alvor is mainly parkland with great views of the Alvor Estuary. Lagos has a mixture of parkland and links holes and finally Praia is located along the coast and makes its way through sand dunes long grasses.
Not long by modern day standards at 6500 yards from the back tees, the Palmares Golf Course offers a different challenge for all level and ability. With the magnificent views over the Bay and Monchique Mountains, it is well worthy of being part of any golf holiday.
