Morgado Old Course is a great addition to the golf courses in the Western Algarve. Morgado de Regeungo (the Old Course) lies to the north of the town of Portimao and sprawls over an area of 980 hectares.
Morgado Old Course Description
The fairways are fairly generous allowing for the bigger hitters to open their shoulders although a number of deep pot bunkers and water hazards await any shots that stray too far off line. The main characteristic of Morgado is the large greens which mean your long putting is as important as ever. The greens are also very well protected by large bunkers.
Measuring just under 7000 yards in length, the par 73 Morgado Golf Course has been tipped to host major tournaments in the future and with the addition of Morgado Alamos, the second 18 hole course, this is an excellent addition to the quality golf courses in the Algarve.
