Opened for play in November 2004, this Arnold Palmer designed course instantly became regarded as one of Europes finest and played host to "The World Cup of Golf" in November 2005.
At present it is the longest course on the Algarve measuring 6560 metres from the back tees. Built on virtually flat terrain a number of water hazards and waterfalls statigically guard a number of the fairways and greens with manmade mounds adding some undulation to the fairways. A trademark of the course is that no 2 greens are the same with all 18 being a completely different size and shape making careful placement on approach shots a must in order to score well.
With a selection of 5 teeing positions per hole, The Victoria Curse accommodates players of all levels and has already proved to be a unique and unforgettable experience among visiting golfers.
