Palmares is laid out on the side of a south facing hill offering breathtaking views accross the Bay of Lagos and arguably has the most attractive location of all the golf courses on the Algarve.

The front nine works it's way down towards the sea and holes 2-5 run adjacent to the large sand dunes of Meia Praia offering links style holes with very little in the way of hazards.  The layout changes thereafter with the fairways becomming much tighter lined with large pine trees and wind their way through undulating valleys.

Not long by modern day standards at 6500 yards from the back tees, the course offers a different challange for all level and ability and with the magnificent views over the Bay and Monchique Mountains, is well worth a visit.
